Steven Curtis Chapman was a go to Christian artist as I grew up, and I still enjoy his music today. It is raw, and honest, and yet uplifting and points me to Jesus. He wrote and sang a song called “Glorious Unfolding”.
As I continue to ponder the path and journey God is leading me on, and as I talked last week, if we just hold on, we have no idea how amazing things will be.
I don’t know what you are facing, but I get not knowing if things will change. I’ve been in the darkest of places. Just 10 years ago at this time I was on full time oxygen and unable to work for various reasons, and yet now I am seeing God’s glorious unfolding every day as I watch Him grow my business and see all He has done and is doing. As I see He helped me publish a devotional and more writing to come soon…..
I don’t know your hard, but I know hard and dark, and maybe you are there today. Maybe you are recently divorced. Maybe you had to cut off your family, or are recovering from addiction or trauma, maybe you lost a job, or maybe you are just in the every day mundane and wonder if there is more to this life….these words are for you my friend! Hang on – there is going to be a glorious unfolding if you are following Jesus!

“Lay your head down tonight, take a rest from the fight, and don’t try to figure it out. Just listen to what I’m whispering to your heart. ‘Cause I know this is not anything you thought the story of your life is gonna be, and it feels like the end has started closing in on you, but it’s just not true, there’s so much of the story that’s still yet to be told….and this is going to be a glorious unfolding! Just you wait and see, and you will be amazed! You’ve just got to believe the story is so far from over, so hold on to every promise God has made to us.” – Steven Curtis Chapman – listen to full song here
