What are you believing for today?

Basically, the word believe comes down to believing God will fulfill His promises.

Because it’s in His promises we find the truth of who we are, and that He will provide. As I am growing in God with the word believe, I landed in Ephesians 3.

In Ephesians 3, Paul was under house arrest in Rome for preaching about Christ, however, Paul kept his belief God was in control.

What promise do we see in Ephesians 3?

The first is we are loved completely and fully.

“That you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length, and depth and height, to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge.” Eph. 3:17-19 NKJV

Second, we will be provided the needed strength.

“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His spirit in the inner man.” Eph. 3:16

Third, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask, or think, according to the power that works in us.” Eph. 3:20-21

Fourth, when we know Jesus, we have the full work of Christ in us always.

“To know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.“ Eph. 3:19

Look at all those promises, in just two short paragraphs in the Bible.

How often do I walk through life forgetting these promises? Forgetting it is not my strength that gets anything done. Forgetting I may dream and hope, and yet God is the One who does exceedingly abundantly above all I can think or imagine. Not just does it, but He gives us the power in us when we know Jesus.

And all of this so He may be glorified forever and ever.

We must believe His promises. He is a faithful God, and ALL throughout the Bible we see time after time again of things which were promised come true. Time and time again God fulfilled promises all throughout time, and it’s written down to remind us. He still does this today. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

As we continue in 2024, I will continue to claim God’s promises, and just as Elizabeth said,

“Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45

We must…

BELIEVE

Father God,
Help me hold onto Your promises. To remember I am loved completely and fully by You. Nothing can change Your love for me. To remember You will provide me the needed strength and to remember you’re not up in the sky hanging out, but You’re down here with me. To remember You can do, and are doing, so much more than I ever dreamed or imagined, and will continue. May You be the one Who gets glory forever and ever. May I always hold onto Your promises and You.
