I had a couple other posts ready to go this week, but this weekend I felt like someone needs to hear this. Maybe it’s you.

Keep holding on. It’s never too late…if you’re still on this earth, God is still using you, redeeming your story, and has plans for your life.

Your story isn’t over until you leave this earth, and then it continues in a most magnificent way when you enter heaven.

What are you needing to believe for right now?

What are you worried about?

What are your largest fears and concerns?

What has you at your end right now?

Whatever it is, keep holding on. Your story isn’t over yet.

I can say this with confidence because I thought my story was over many times. I thought I was washed up and no good. I thought that I might have only been in my late thirties, but all my dreams had been crushed, and the losses were too great to bear on my own.

But God….

I thought my story was over. I tried to let my story be over, and God said, “No.”

12 years ago this August I tried to take my life for the first of 3 times in 9 months. I shouldn’t have survived, any of them. Literally shouldn’t have lived. I’m not sure about all of it because I was not conscious for some time, but the first time I had a lot of seizures and after the MRI when I was admitted the Dr. said they would have to just wait and see if I would come out of it, and if I would have normal brain function if I did.

A week later, I left the hospital, and though I had some definite “left-over” effects, they were not life threatening and didn’t last forever.

The second time I tried to not be here, while in the hospital, I also had an almost fatal pulminary embolism (related my some medications and not to my suicide attempt) and had I not been in the hospital that alone would have killed me.

But God!

12 years later I am working full time, running my own tutoring and consulting business, while expanding my certifications in a field I never dreamed I’d get to be in again.

But God….

Don’t get me wrong, it’s been hard….heck it’s still hard! But I am learning to take each day as it comes with Jesus. To start my day with Him and walk every second with Him. When I fail to do that, I ask for forgiveness for trying to do this life on my own, and I come back to His loving and waiting arms.

As I came across this song that was released over the weekend, it feels so fitting. Not just for my life in the past, but now as well. I kind of feel like the mountains I have been climbing for the past decade and in getting a business up will never end. Some days I feel my body will give out and will never heal from adrenal fatigue, CPTSD, and mold toxicity, and everything else.

But God….He’s done it before and He’ll do it again!

I pray often, “LORD, help my unbelief! Help me hold on!” He is always faithful to do this.

If you find yourself in a place today where you are questioning if your story is over, I want you to know it’s not! God has plans beyond your wildest dreams and if you stay close to Him, He will fulfill those! I am living proof!

Allow me to pray over you today and then let’s pray together.

Father God, someone reading this needs to know You care. Cover them with Your love, Your mercy, Your grace, Your kindness, and provide them a peace to know You are still with them. Draw them to You and let them know they are not alone. Provide people in this person‘s life to show them You. I pray this over them in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Pray with me today and then listen to this song I found called “Keep Holding On”.
