Lately I have been wanting some ultimate healing from many things – emotional, spiritual, and physical. My body basically gave out and I was forced to take time off from work. This is hard when you are self employed and don’t get paid if you don’t work. But God brought to mind many things to remind me He wants to heal my heart and He can. Maybe you are there too. Maybe you have some physical things you want healed, or emotional things….my guess is if you have one you have the other!!
I am not going to promise you will be healed on this earth…you can because I believe God still heals, but I also believe some of us live with thorns in the flesh…just as Paul did.
Today I encourage you to pray this prayer with me. I formed it from Psalm 23:1-3, Psalm 147:3, Jeremiah 17:14, Malachi 4:2, Luke 9:11, and Isaiah 53:5. Look up these verses either now or after you pray this and meditate on them and allow God to speak to your heart.
Father God,
You can restore my soul. You know the green pastures and the still waters that will restore me. I will have what I need because you will provide. You heal the brokenhearted and bind up my wounds. You, O LORD, heal me, and I shall be healed, save me, and I shall be saved. I know there is healing in the wings of Jesus, and you heal those who need healing. And O LORD, I need healing today. I need healing for (add your own things here.). I know you want to heal my heart, soul, and body Jesus – You can and I ask You to. Continue to draw me close to You and may you help my unbelief in every area of life. Thank you for sending Jesus to give me hope that even if I am not “healed” on earth, I will be in heaven! Because just as Psalm 53:5 says, it is by Your wounds I am healed! Praise You for this!
