God and Sexual Assault

What is Truth?

Focusing your thoughts on Truth.

We tend to easily go toward negative thoughts and thoughts that are not truth. Here are some examples:

I am ugly.
I am not worthy of love.
I am unlovable.
I am fat.
I am not useful.
I am trash.
I am “used” goods.
I am not “beautiful” enough.
I am not smart.
I am not useful to anyone.

I was thinking about these thoughts awhile ago as I was reading my Bible. We are bombarded with things that are not truth in this world. As a trauma survivor it is even harder to listen to the Truth.

Where can you find absolute Truth? The Bible. God’s word is true and does not lie.

Psalm 139:13-16
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

What does that say about each of us?
You are fearfully and wonderfully made by the creator and His works are wonderful!

He saw all that He made and said it was “good”. That includes you!

So, when you don’t “look” or act like the world (which is run by Satan) tells you that you should, remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

How do we praise His works of glorious sunsets and the trees and flowers, and yet not that He created each of us?

Thoughts can have the power to derail the wonderful plans God has in store for you. Ask God to help you deny the lies that bombard you from this world.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made!
